1. Soaking in water

How to do: After cutting the potatoes, immediately put them in cold water.

Benefit: By keeping them in water, the potatoes do not react with air (oxidation), due to which they do not turn black.

2. Adding lemon juice
How to do: Put the chopped potatoes in water and add a few drops of lemon juice to it.
Benefit: The citric acid present in lemon prevents oxidation, due to which the color of the potatoes does not change.

3. Putting salt in water

How to do: Put a little salt in water and put the cut potatoes in it.

Benefit: Salt slows down the process of oxidation, due to which potatoes remain white for a long time.


4. Using vinegar
How to do: Add a little white vinegar to water and add potatoes to it.
Benefit: Vinegar is also an acid like lemon which prevents potatoes from turning black.
