Sadhvi Ranjana Didi’s speech at a large Hindu religious conference in Chhapiheda, Rajgarh district, has drawn attention for its strong ideological messaging and references to religion, identity, and cultural symbols. The event, held on Wednesday to mark the anniversary of the Shri Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha festival, witnessed the participation of nearly 20,000 people, according to organisers.

The conference was attended by several saints and religious figures, including storyteller Pandit Pradeep Mishra. During her address, Sadhvi Ranjana asserted that “Sanatan will not be erased by voices of opposition,” urging attendees to raise slogans in praise of Lord Ram and Bharat Mata. Her remarks included references to historical figures and contemporary religious debates, delivered in a highly charged tone.

In her speech, the sadhvi criticised what she described as “fundamentalist forces” and alleged attempts to undermine Hindu culture. She appealed to the audience to remain united across caste and sectarian lines, stating that internal divisions weaken society. “No one asked your caste when you came here,” she said, urging Hindus to see themselves as part of one collective identity.

Addressing women specifically, Sadhvi Ranjana spoke about the importance of recognising “maternal power,” arguing that women hold a central place in Sanatan tradition. She also commented on practices such as the burqa and triple talaq, framing Sanatan Dharma as a system that, in her words, offers respect and freedom to women.

Some of her remarks focused on cultural symbols traditionally associated with specific communities. She questioned the idea of attributing days like Friday or colours such as green to any one religion, calling on supporters to reclaim these as part of a broader cultural heritage. She also spoke about the Urdu language, describing it as part of India’s shared cultural fabric rather than belonging to any single community.

The sadhvi further referred to the condition of Hindus in neighbouring countries such as Pakistan and Bangladesh, urging unity within India to prevent what she termed decline and persecution. “If we divide, we will be reduced,” she said, linking demographic concerns to social cohesion.

The event concluded with a call for eliminating caste discrimination and strengthening Hindu unity as the foundation of Sanatan tradition. While organisers described the conference as a platform for cultural assertion and social reform, the remarks have sparked discussion over the line between religious mobilisation and communal rhetoric. No official response from the local administration had been issued at the time of filing this report.
