According to officials, District Mining Officer Pankaj Dhwaj Mishra and his team were conducting routine checks on the Chitaura-Mau road between 10 pm and 11 pm when they intercepted a dumper carrying gravel.

Upon inspection, the vehicle was found overloaded. Officials also noted that the dumper lacked a number plate, and its chassis number was not clearly visible, raising suspicion about its legitimacy.

Dumper Seized

The mining team promptly seized the vehicle and parked it safely at the Jhanki police outpost. Soon after, a group of individuals reportedly reached the spot and engaged in an argument with the officials.

District Mining Officer Pankaj Dhwaj Mishra stated that the seized dumper was heavily overloaded with gravel and had no number plate. He added that the name “Kanha Yadav” was written on the vehicle.

He further noted that discrepancies in documentation and suspicion of route violations led to the enforcement action. “This was carried out as per rules, and necessary steps were taken to ensure safety,” he said.
