A significant administrative reshuffle has been carried out in Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh, marking a shift toward a new policing structure. The move, led by the Superintendent of Police Rajnesh Singh, aims to strengthen law and order management and improve operational efficiency across police stations.

Introduction of a New Policing Model

For the first time in the district, inspectors have been deployed in CSP and SDOP offices. This new arrangement is designed to streamline coordination between field units and administrative offices. These officers will not only oversee law and order but also handle office-related responsibilities, ensuring better management of police work.

Loop Line Posting of Station Heads

As part of the reshuffle, Torwa TI Abhay Bais and Chakrabhatha TI Umesh Sahu have been shifted out of their current postings. They have been assigned to different roles, effectively placing them in loop line positions after being removed from their respective police stations. The decision also reflects action against officers who were under scrutiny.

Large-Scale Transfers Across Ranks

The transfer orders affected a total of 33 police personnel, including 13 inspectors and 2 sub-inspectors. Additionally, several assistant sub-inspectors, head constables, and constables were also reassigned. The reshuffle was carried out through two separate orders issued on Wednesday.

Key Station-Level Changes

Inspector Damodar Mishra has been appointed as the new in-charge of Hirri police station, replacing Ravishankar Tiwari, who has been moved to airport security. Rajneesh Singh, previously heading ACCU, has been given charge of Torwa police station. Krishna Chand Sidar has been posted as the new TI of Masturi, while Gopal Krishna Satpathy has taken over as ACCU in-charge.

Further changes include Bhavesh Shende being posted to Chakrabhatha police station and Top Singh Navrang becoming the new in-charge of Bilha police station. Woman inspector Rajshree Kosle has been assigned to lead Koni police station.

Focus on Strengthening Law and Order

Under the new system, specific inspectors have been posted exclusively to monitor law and order. Sanjay Singh has been assigned to the CSP Kotwali office, Uttam Sahu to Civil Lines CSP office, and Avneesh Paswan to SDOP Kota office. Their primary role will be to coordinate with station heads and maintain stability in their respective areas.

Officials believe this initiative will reduce the workload on station in-charges, allowing them to focus more on pending investigations, public grievances, and improving station-level functioning.

New Responsibility at Police Petrol Pump

The reshuffle also includes a new appointment at the police petrol pump. Sub-inspector Onkardhar Diwan has been given charge of the facility, while SI Omprakash Kurre has been posted as the new in-charge of Mopka outpost.

Transfers Among Lower-Rank Staff

Apart from senior officers, the reshuffle also impacted lower ranks. Eight assistant sub-inspectors, four head constables, and six constables were transferred. Several personnel have been moved from the police line to field postings to strengthen ground-level policing.
