Bhopal NDA Exam Chaos, 12 Candidates Denied Entry, Server Down Adds Trouble

NDA exam Bhopal sees 12 candidates denied entry due to strict timing and face authentication server issue at exam center.

The National Defence Academy (NDA), Naval Academy (NA), and Combined Defence Services (CDS) examinations were conducted on Sunday under tightened security protocols across multiple cities. Authorities implemented strict measures such as face authentication, metal detector checks, and rigid entry timings to ensure transparency and prevent malpractice.

In Bhopal, however, these measures led to controversy as 12 candidates were denied entry at one of the examination centers due to late arrival by just a few minutes.

Exam Center Gate Closed Before Candidates Could Enter

The incident took place at the Government Naveen Higher Secondary School located in Arera Colony. Officials closed the examination center gate at 9:30 AM sharp, in line with the new guidelines that mandate closure 30 minutes before the exam begins.

Candidates who arrived even slightly late were not permitted to enter the premises. According to reports, around 8 to 10 candidates were present outside the gate but were turned away despite repeated requests.

Server Failure Disrupts Face Authentication Process

Adding to the confusion, the center authorities acknowledged that the face authentication system could not function properly due to a server outage. Despite this technical issue, the entry rules remained unchanged, and no relaxation was provided to late-arriving candidates.

Family Members Express Frustration Over Lack of Consideration

One of the affected candidates, who had traveled nearly 50 kilometers from Ahmedpur in Sehore district, reached the center at 9:27 AM, just three minutes before the gate closure. Despite arriving within what they considered a reasonable time, entry was denied.

The candidate’s relative stated that they repeatedly requested officials to allow entry, citing minimal delay and the long distance traveled. However, their appeals were not entertained. They also claimed that the admit card did not clearly specify that even a delay of one or two minutes would result in denial of entry.

Large-Scale Exam Conducted Across Three Cities

The examination was conducted across three major cities in Madhya Pradesh. Bhopal had 12 centers with 5,810 candidates, Indore hosted 13 centers with 5,493 candidates, and Gwalior had 7 centers accommodating 6,030 candidates. In total, more than 17,000 aspirants appeared for the exam across these cities.

Enhanced Security Measures Introduced This Year

For the first time, authorities introduced face authentication technology at all centers to verify candidates’ identities. In addition, strict entry deadlines were enforced, with clear instructions that no candidate would be allowed entry after the gate closure time under any circumstances.

Administrative officials emphasized that punctuality is critical and advised candidates to reach their respective centers well before the reporting time to avoid such situations.

Facilities Provided for Candidates at Exam Centers

To ensure a smooth examination process, the administration made arrangements for drinking water, electricity, and adequate staffing at all centers. These measures were aimed at maintaining comfort and efficiency during the examination.
