A disturbing incident has come to light from Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, where police personnel allegedly engaged in inappropriate behavior inside the hospital premises while on duty. The case involves officers assigned to escort a sick prisoner for medical treatment.

Hospital Superintendent Confirms Intoxicated Behavior

Hospital superintendent Rahul Mishra stated that the concerned police personnel were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. He emphasized that the act occurred in a highly sensitive medical environment, which demands strict discipline and responsibility from all visitors and staff.

Restroom Available, Yet Incident Occurred

According to the hospital administration, a restroom facility was located just beside the area where the incident took place. Despite this, the police personnel allegedly chose to act irresponsibly, which has further intensified criticism of their conduct.

FIR and Legal Action Announced

Following the circulation of a video showing the alleged misconduct, the hospital management confirmed that a formal FIR will be filed. Authorities have also stated that legal proceedings will be initiated against the involved officers without delay. 

Officers Identified and Investigation Underway

The personnel involved include a head constable, a constable, and an assistant sub-inspector from the Sidhi police line. They were reportedly escorting a prisoner who required medical attention when the incident occurred. An internal and legal investigation is now underway.
