Raipur, April 29: The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) will release the Class 12 results today at 2:30 PM, bringing relief to over 2.45 lakh students who appeared for the Higher Secondary exams this year.

School Education Minister Gajendra Yadav confirmed the timing via a post on X this morning, urging students to stay patient. "Results will be out at 2:30 PM sharp," he wrote, adding that the portal might see heavy traffic post-announcement.

Results on 9 Websites

Students can check their scores by entering roll numbers on the official CGBSE site and eight other linked portals. Initial reports from board officials indicate smooth server preparations to handle the rush, especially in districts like Raipur, Bilaspur, and Durg where most candidates are based.

The exams, held earlier this year, saw 2,45,785 participants out of a total 5.66 lakh for Classes 10 and 12 combined. Last year's figure stood at around 2.38 lakh, showing a slight uptick amid steady enrollment.

Girls Outperform Boys Again

Trends over the past four years paint a clear picture: girls have consistently topped the pass charts. In 2025, they clocked 83.72% against boys' 76.91%, a gap of 6.81 points. The year before mirrored it exactly, while 2023 saw girls at 83.64-83.84% versus boys' 75.36%—a near 8% lead.

Even in 2022, the margin favored girls at over 4%, with 81.15% pass rate to boys' 77.03%. Sources in the education department say this reflects better focus and preparation among female students across streams like Arts, Commerce, and Science.

2025 Marks Peak Performance

Class 12 results hit 81.87% last year, the best in four years among roughly 2.38 lakh examinees. It beat 2024's 80.74%, 2023's 79.96%, and 2022's 79.30%. "A 2.5% rise since 2022 shows real improvement in higher secondary standards," a senior board official noted, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Numbers fluctuated—2.87 lakh in 2022, down to 2.38 lakh in 2025—but pass rates climbed steadily, hovering above 80% and outpacing Class 10's 75-76% range.
