ICSE, ISC results 2026 declared with impressive pass percentages across regions.

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) declared the results for the Class 10 (ICSE) and Class 12 (ISC) board examinations on Thursday. This year’s data shows a strong academic performance, with the passing percentage for Class 10th recorded at 98.18%, while Class 12th students achieved an even higher pass rate of 99.13%.

Around 2.6 lakh students appeared for the ICSE exams this year, while the ISC cohort consisted of approximately 1.4 lakh candidates. The results were made available online early this afternoon, ending weeks of anticipation for students and parents across the country.

Digital access to marksheets

Students can now access their results through the official portal at results.cisce.org. To view the scorecard, candidates are required to keep their Unique Identification (UID) and Index numbers ready.

Apart from the official website, the Council has made arrangements for results to be available via the UMANG app and SMS services. For those looking for long-term digital storage of their documents, the marksheets are also being pushed to DigiLocker. To download from DigiLocker, students need to navigate to the 'Education' section, select CISCE, and enter their specific credentials to fetch the digital certificates.

Minimum qualifying criteria

According to the Council's established norms, the qualifying criteria differ slightly between the two levels. For ICSE Class 10, students must secure a minimum of 33% in each subject to be declared successful. For the ISC Class 12 exams, the passing threshold is set at 35%.

Initial reports from various regional centers suggest that the performance has been consistent with previous years, with several schools reporting 100% results.

No official merit list

In a move to curb excessive academic competition and mental stress, the CISCE has continued its recent policy of not releasing an official toppers' list. This follows the trend set in 2024 and 2025, where the board opted to focus on overall performance metrics rather than individual rankings.

While the board will not issue a centralized merit list, individual schools may recognize high achievers, and students who excel in specific subjects are expected to receive separate certificates of merit as per standard practice.

Subject diversity in 2026

The 2026 examination cycle covered a massive range of subjects, reflecting the Council's broad curriculum. At the ISC level, there were 45 written subjects, including 13 Indian languages and several foreign and classical languages. The ICSE level was even more diverse, featuring 67 written subjects.

Official sources indicated that the evaluation process was completed on schedule this year, allowing for a timely release of results which will help students moving toward higher education admissions and stream selections for the upcoming session.

Steps to check results

For those yet to check their scores, the process on the official website is straightforward:
