Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Wednesday announced a major incentive package for dairy farmers, stating that the state government will provide a subsidy of ₹10 lakh for setting up dairy units with 25 cows under a project costing approximately ₹40 lakh. The announcement was made during a public event in Delanpur, where the Chief Minister emphasized the government's commitment to strengthening the dairy sector and promoting natural farming practices.

Addressing residents and farmers, Dr. Yadav said the initiative is part of a broader strategy to increase milk production and improve the economic condition of rural households. He also announced financial support for farmers engaged in natural farming along with cattle rearing, under which eligible beneficiaries will receive ₹1,100 per month.

The Chief Minister noted that India's share in global milk production needs to increase significantly and that states such as Madhya Pradesh can play a crucial role in achieving that goal through targeted support for dairy entrepreneurs.

Focus on Dairy and Natural Farming

According to Dr. Yadav, dairy farming offers a sustainable source of income for rural families while also supporting agricultural activities through the use of organic manure and natural farming methods.

The newly announced subsidy is expected to encourage farmers, youth, and rural entrepreneurs to establish organized dairy units. Officials believe the scheme could generate employment opportunities and contribute to the state's agricultural economy.

The monthly financial assistance for cattle owners practicing natural farming is also aimed at promoting environmentally sustainable agricultural practices while reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers.

Development of Religious Corridors

During the event, the Chief Minister also highlighted the government's ongoing efforts to develop major religious destinations across Madhya Pradesh.

Referring to the development of Chitrakoot, he said nearly ₹2,000 crore is being invested to transform the pilgrimage town, drawing comparisons with the large-scale infrastructure development undertaken in Ayodhya.

Dr. Yadav stated that all locations associated with Lord Ram's journey through present-day Madhya Pradesh would be developed as important pilgrimage destinations. According to traditional accounts, Lord Ram spent more than eleven years in the region during his exile and traveled through areas including Chitrakoot, Panna, Shahdol, Jabalpur, Vidisha, and Khargone.

The Chief Minister also announced funds for local infrastructure works at the temple complex in Delanpur, including flooring of the assembly area, construction of a boundary wall, and installation of a drinking water tank.

While speaking at the gathering, Dr. Yadav also targeted opposition parties, accusing them of being uncomfortable with discussions centered on development and infrastructure projects.

Highlighting preparations for Simhastha 2028 and the proposed Indore Metropolitan City project, he said the state government remains focused on delivering results rather than engaging in political debates.

"We are committed to development-oriented governance. Work related to Simhastha 2028 is progressing, and the vision of a metropolitan development model for the region will soon become a reality," he said.

In a significant push for education and animal husbandry in the Gwalior-Chambal region, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Monday laid the foundation stone for the Rishi Galav University in Bela village. The university, a project of the Madhya Bharat Shiksha Samiti, is set to be developed across 55 bighas of land with an estimated investment of Rs 110 crore.

Foundation laid at Bela

The Chief Minister arrived at the site located on the Shitla Mata road via Shivpuri Link Road on Monday morning. Accompanied by cabinet colleague Tulsiram Silawat and several senior BJP and RSS leaders, Dr. Yadav performed the 'Bhumi Pujan' rituals. The residential university is being positioned as a future hub for academic excellence in Northern Madhya Pradesh.

Prominent figures including Jaybhan Singh Pawaiya, MP Bharat Singh Kushwah, and former MP Vivek Narayan Shejwalkar were present during the ceremony, signaling the project's importance to the state's educational roadmap.

Focus on dairy farmers

Following the university event, the Chief Minister’s itinerary shifts toward the Mela Ground for the State-Level Milk Producer and Cattle Rearer Convention. This summit is expected to highlight the government's initiatives in the dairy sector. Dr. Yadav is scheduled to inspect an exhibition themed around 'Vrindavan Gram,' which showcases traditional and modern dairy farming techniques.

Later in the afternoon, the Chief Minister is slated to inspect the ongoing construction at the Arogyadham Super Specialty Hospital in the Gola Ka Mandir area. Local authorities have been briefed to provide a progress report on the facility, which is expected to reduce the dependency of local residents on private hospitals in Delhi or Agra.

Tight schedule in Gwalior

The CM’s visit is packed with back-to-back engagements. After the dairy convention, he will attend a local program at Empire Resort on Shivpuri Link Road around 3:00 PM. The administrative machinery in Gwalior has been on high alert since morning to ensure smooth movement between the various venues spread across the city.

Departure for Bhopal

As per the official minute-to-minute schedule, Dr. Yadav will conclude his Gwalior tour by late afternoon. After reviewing the super-specialty hospital, he will head directly to the Gwalior airport. He is expected to depart for the state capital, Bhopal, via a special flight at approximately 4:15 PM.
