With the first phase of ticket sales already sold out, the ticket window for the second IPL match in Raipur has now opened, giving fans another chance to secure seats for the upcoming fixtures. The development comes ahead of the two scheduled matches featuring Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), drawing significant interest among cricket enthusiasts in the region.

Second match tickets live

Tickets for the May 12 match have been made available through the official online portal. Spectators can purchase them via the Royal Challengers’ ticketing website. According to initial trends, demand remains high, with several categories either sold out or showing limited availability within hours of release.

The match will see RCB take on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), following their earlier clash against Mumbai Indians (MI) on May 10.

Officials indicated that all online tickets for the May 10 fixture between RCB and MI have already been booked. Even the lowest-priced category, starting at ₹2,500, is currently unavailable on the platform.

The quick sellout reflects strong local interest, especially with Raipur hosting multiple IPL matches this season.

Free entry for toppers

In a notable move, the School Education Department has announced free entry for students who secured positions in the merit list of Class 10 and 12 board examinations in Chhattisgarh.

According to department instructions, eligible students will be brought to Raipur under supervision. Officials have directed district-level authorities to ensure that selected students reach SCERT Raipur by 10 am on May 10. From there, arrangements will be made to take them to the stadium.

Teams arrival schedule

Sources familiar with the schedule said the RCB squad is expected to arrive in Raipur on May 8 and will stay for nearly six days. During this period, the team is likely to hold practice sessions at the venue.

Mumbai Indians are also expected to reach the city around the same time, though their exact arrival schedule may vary slightly.

QR-based entry system

Organisers have introduced a fully digital ticketing system for the matches. Entry into the stadium will be allowed through QR codes embedded in M-tickets, eliminating the need for physical ticket collection.

The QR code will be activated only shortly before the gates open on match day. Officials said this step has been taken to strengthen security and prevent fake or duplicate entries.

Entry timing and rules

Gates at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium will open at 3:30 pm. Spectators have been advised to follow the gate number mentioned on their tickets for smooth entry.

Re-entry will not be permitted once a spectator exits the venue. Additionally, children above the age of two will require separate tickets. Each user can book up to four tickets per transaction.

Authorities have also urged fans to arrive early to avoid last-minute congestion at entry points.

Ticket transfer restrictions

The organisers have placed limits on ticket transfers to curb black marketing. Each M-ticket can be transferred only once. During the process, users must provide the recipient’s mobile number.

Once the transfer is complete, access for the original holder will be revoked, and the new user can log in to access the ticket.

Security measures in place

Security agencies have imposed restrictions on several items inside the stadium premises. Spectators have been requested to carry only essential belongings and cooperate with security checks.

Officials said strict screening protocols will be followed to ensure safety during both matches.
