Angelina Jolie says her children became her greatest source of strength after her divorce from Brad Pitt, as legal disputes linked to Château Miraval continue to draw attention.

Hollywood actor and filmmaker Angelina Jolie has opened up about the emotional challenges she faced following her separation from former husband Brad Pitt, describing the years after the breakup as one of the most difficult periods of her life.

In a recent interview with Variety, Jolie said the divorce left her emotionally exhausted and struggling to find direction. She admitted that at one stage she felt she had lost much of her fighting spirit, but credited her six children with helping her rebuild her life and regain a sense of purpose.

The actor said motherhood became her anchor during a period marked by personal upheaval, legal battles and intense public scrutiny.

Jolie and Pitt first met while filming the movie Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2004. Their relationship quickly attracted global attention and they went on to become one of Hollywood's most closely followed couples.

Jolie also argued that she left Pitt in control of several jointly owned properties without seeking compensation at the time. As part of the ongoing litigation, she sought more than $33,000 in legal costs related to the dispute.

In May 2026, Pitt secured a procedural victory in court, a development viewed as strengthening his position in the continuing ownership battle over the French winery estate.

In her latest comments, Jolie emphasised the role her children played in helping her navigate those difficult years.

She said that caring for Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne gave her the motivation to keep moving forward when she was struggling emotionally. According to the actor, their presence helped her rediscover hope, stability and confidence after the separation.

Bollywood actor Salman Khan has revealed that the first expensive item he ever purchased was a luxury Rolex watch for his father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan. Sharing a personal memory during a recent interview, Salman said he had to borrow money to buy the watch because he did not have enough savings at the time.

Salman Khan recalled that he was deeply impressed by the Rolex watch and wanted to gift it to his father despite being financially constrained during the early phase of his career.

The actor said the watch was priced at nearly Rs 9 lakh at that time, while he only had around Rs 4 lakh with him. To complete the purchase, Salman borrowed the remaining amount before gifting the luxury watch to Salim Khan.

According to Salman, the reaction from his father was not what he had expected initially. He said Salim Khan scolded him after seeing the expensive gift and questioned why he had spent so much money despite having just started working properly in the film industry.

Recalling the moment, Salman said his father asked whether he considered himself the “Sultan of Brunei” and described the expensive watch as an unnecessary purchase. However, after examining the Rolex closely, Salim Khan reportedly changed his reaction and appreciated it, calling it “a piece of jewellery.”

The actor further shared that after gifting the watch, he eventually stopped wearing watches for nearly 26 to 28 years. Salman clarified that although fans often notice him wearing different luxury watches in public appearances, most of those watches do not belong to him personally.

He stated that the Rolex gifted by his father remains the only watch he truly owns, while many of the other watches seen on him are borrowed from friends. Salman’s comments have generated significant discussion among fans on social media, particularly because of the emotional connection attached to the gift and his relationship with his father.

During the same interview, Salman Khan also made another surprising revelation regarding his filmmaking process. The actor claimed that despite spending decades in the Hindi film industry, he has never read a complete film script in his life.

According to Salman, while he has written scripts and contributed to story ideas, he personally does not sit and read full scripts before selecting projects. Over the years, Salman has been credited with story contributions in films such as Veer and Dabangg 3.

On the professional front, Salman Khan is currently working on multiple upcoming projects. The actor will next be seen in the film “Matrubhoomi: May War Rest in Peace,” which also stars Chitrangda Singh. The project was earlier titled “Battle of Galwan,” though its release date has reportedly been postponed.

Salman has also started shooting for another upcoming project tentatively titled “SVC63” alongside Nayanthara. Recently, the actor shared glimpses from the film’s muhurat ceremony on social media.

Reports have additionally suggested that Salman may collaborate with filmmaker duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. for a superhero action film. Industry discussions also indicate that Kareena Kapoor Khan could be part of the project.

Salman Khan began his acting journey with Biwi Ho To Aisi in 1988 before achieving major success with Maine Pyar Kiya. Over the years, he delivered several blockbuster films including Wanted, Sultan and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which remains among the biggest hits of his career.
