CTET is one of the most important eligibility examinations for candidates seeking teaching jobs in central government schools such as Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas.

The online application process for CTET September 2026 will begin on 11 May 2026 and continue until 10 June 2026, which is also the last date for fee payment. Candidates are advised to complete the registration process well before the deadline to avoid technical issues or last-minute server delays. The CTET examination is scheduled to be held on 06 September 2026, and candidates will be allowed to make corrections in their application forms between 15 June and 18 June 2026.

CTET Exam Levels

Postgraduate candidates with 55% marks and a 3-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed program are also eligible.

Application Process

Candidates must apply online through the official CTET application portal within the given dates. Before applying, they should carefully read the information brochure and ensure they meet all eligibility criteria. Applicants should keep ready scanned documents such as photographs, signatures, identity proof, and educational certificates before filling the form. All details must be entered correctly to avoid rejection. Since exam centers are limited in each city, candidates are advised to apply early to secure their preferred exam location. After submission and payment of fees, candidates must download and print the confirmation page for future reference.

Importance of CTET Exam

CTET is a national-level eligibility test that certifies candidates to apply for teaching positions in central government schools. It does not guarantee a job but is mandatory for teaching recruitment in many institutions. Clearing CTET improves career opportunities and ensures eligibility for teaching positions across India.

The CTET September 2026 examination is a crucial opportunity for aspiring teachers aiming to build a career in the education sector. With the exam scheduled for 6 September 2026, candidates should complete their application before 10 June 2026 and begin focused preparation.
