A woman was seriously injured after being attacked with a knife inside her house in Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa on Friday afternoon. The incident took place in the Bichhiya police station area near Lohi Petrol Pump, triggering panic among local residents and raising concerns over safety in residential localities.

The injured woman, identified as Vidya Saket, a resident of the Lohi area, sustained severe injuries on her face and neck during the assault. According to local residents, the incident occurred around 2:45 pm near the Lohi Petrol Pump area under the jurisdiction of Bichhiya police station. Witnesses said a young man and a woman were seen walking toward the locality shortly before the attack. The accused woman allegedly entered Vidya Saket’s house directly while the victim was asleep inside. Soon after entering the room, the accused reportedly launched a sudden knife attack on the woman, targeting her neck and face. The victim screamed for help as the attack unfolded inside the house.
