The deceased, identified as Ramniwas Kori, was posted at the Magurahi stretch of the bypass road under Chorhatа police station limits. His body was discovered on the road, with marks consistent with a heavy vehicle having run over him, according to initial reports from the spot.

A large number of relatives and villagers descended on the site, alleging that Ramniwas was deliberately crushed by a truck.
