On World Environment Day, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai appealed to citizens to actively participate in environmental conservation and protect natural resources. Reiterating the importance of sustainable development, the CM said that environmental protection is not only an administrative responsibility but also a moral duty towards future generations.

The Chief Minister highlighted that nature is deeply connected with human life and cultural values. He said that forests, water resources, and biodiversity form the foundation of human existence and must be preserved for long-term ecological balance.

As part of World Environment Day observance, plantation drives were organised at multiple locations in Raipur. Political leaders and party workers participated in tree plantation activities under various awareness campaigns.

BJP state president Kiran Dev planted saplings at his office in Devendra Nagar under the theme “One Plant, One Resolve,” emphasizing long-term environmental commitment rather than symbolic participation.
