The main event for International Yoga Day 2026 will be held at Mahakal Mahalok in Ujjain on June 21. District authorities and the Mahakaleshwar Temple Committee have begun preparations to organize the event on a large scale, with thousands of people expected to participate.

According to Ujjain Collector Roshan Kumar Singh, the arrangements are being made following directions from Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. He said Ujjain, known as the city of Adi Yogi Lord Shiva, has been chosen as the ideal venue for the state's flagship celebration.

India lifted the SAFF Women’s Championship title after a convincing 3-1 win against Bangladesh at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Margao, Goa. The Indian team delivered a composed and dominant performance in the final to secure their record sixth crown in the competition.

The match saw India take control in a tightly contested first half before shifting gears after the break. Pyari Jaksha opened the scoring in the 42nd minute, giving the hosts a crucial lead just before halftime.

However, Bangladesh responded quickly as Ritu Porna Chakma struck in injury time of the first half to level the score at 1-1, setting up a competitive second half.
