Actor Rahul Roy, who rose to fame with the blockbuster film Aashiqui, made a special appearance on the ‘90s Nostalgia Special’ episode of Laughter Chefs – Unlimited Entertainment Season 3. The episode featured several humorous exchanges, with comedian Krushna Abhishek leaving the actor blushing after joking that he once had “300 girlfriends”.

Rahul Roy participated in the show as a guest and was paired with contestant Nia Sharma for a cooking challenge. Actors Ankita Lokhande and Tejasswi Prakash also joined him on stage and recreated moments from his popular songs, bringing back memories of the 1990s.

During one of the conversations, Krushna Abhishek playfully asked Rahul Roy whether reports about him having 300 girlfriends were true. The actor reacted with a smile and appeared visibly embarrassed, while fellow contestants Vicky Jain, Abhishek Kumar, Karan Kundrra and Elvish Yadav laughed along.

Bharti Singh added to the fun by teasing contestants Samarth Jurel and Abhishek Kumar, saying that while Rahul Roy reportedly had hundreds of admirers, the younger contestants struggled to maintain even one relationship. Krushna continued the banter, prompting laughter from everyone on the set.

Nostalgic Conversations

Bharti Singh also asked Rahul Roy whether he had ever been caught by one girlfriend while spending time with another. The actor simply replied in the negative. Krushna then joked that the absence of social media in those days made life easier for celebrities.

The comedian further recalled stories from Rahul Roy’s peak stardom, saying female fans would often tear his clothes during public appearances. Rahul acknowledged the claim with a smile, adding another nostalgic moment to the episode.

Emotional Instagram Post

Rahul Roy recently found himself in the spotlight after appearing in social media reels with a content creator. Some users criticised the videos and questioned his expressions, leading the actor to share an emotional note on Instagram.

In the post, Rahul said he was working honestly and with dignity to meet financial obligations linked to legal matters that predated his brain stroke. He urged critics not to mock his struggles and said staying active through work gave him a sense of purpose.

The actor also wrote that he wished to continue working for as long as possible, despite occasional pain following his health challenges.

Rahul Roy became an overnight sensation with Aashiqui in 1990. He later appeared in films such as Sapne Saajan Ke and Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayi, strengthening his image as a romantic hero.

Although several later films failed to replicate the success of his debut, Rahul returned to the spotlight after winning the inaugural season of Bigg Boss in 2006. He later ventured into film production and continued acting in independent projects.

Most recently, the actor was seen in the film Agra in 2023. His appearance on Laughter Chefs offered fans another glimpse of the actor whose songs and films defined an era for many viewers.
