Enhanced security measures and transport arrangements put in place ahead of the June 21 NEET-UG examination across Madhya Pradesh.

Students appearing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2026 in Madhya Pradesh will face heightened security checks as authorities prepare to conduct the examination under strict monitoring on June 21. CCTV cameras and signal jammers are being installed at all examination centres across the state to prevent malpractice and ensure a fair testing environment.

In addition to surveillance measures, a large clock will be placed at the entrance of every examination centre to help candidates keep track of time and avoid confusion on exam day. The arrangements are part of a coordinated effort involving district administrations, police departments, and railway authorities.

Bhopal alone is expected to host 13,774 candidates across multiple examination centres. To review preparedness, Bhopal Collector Priyank Mishra held one-on-one meetings with 32 centre in-charges on Thursday. Officials discussed logistics, traffic management, and measures to help candidates reach their centres without delays.

According to officials, confusion sometimes arises because multiple centres have similar names. Authorities have therefore instructed centre administrators to clearly communicate both the name and exact location of examination venues.

Security and Traffic Management

Special attention is being given to traffic management around examination centres. Authorities noted that illegal parking and roadside congestion near some venues, particularly along Hamidia Road, can create delays for candidates.

Police have been directed to ensure roads remain clear and to remove vehicles causing obstructions. In parts of the old city, where metro construction work is ongoing, additional directional signboards will be installed to guide students to their examination centres.

Officials said all centres will operate under enhanced surveillance, with CCTV monitoring and signal jammers helping prevent the use of unauthorized electronic devices during the examination.

Special Trains for NEET Candidates

To facilitate travel for candidates coming from different parts of the state, Indian Railways will operate a one-trip special train between Indore, Bhopal, and Ratlam.

Train No. 09354 Indore–Bhopal Special will run on June 20, stopping at Fatehabad, Badnagar, Ratlam, Nagda, Ujjain, Maksi, Shujalpur, Sehore, and Bairagarh before reaching Bhopal.

For the return journey, Train No. 09353 Bhopal–Ratlam Special will depart from Bhopal on the evening of June 20 and travel through the same route toward Ratlam.

Railway officials stated that the train will consist of 17 coaches, including 13 sleeper coaches, two general coaches, and two SLR/D coaches. The service has been introduced to accommodate the expected increase in passenger traffic due to the examination.

Apart from Bhopal, large numbers of candidates are expected to appear for the exam in Chhindwara, Guna, Vidisha, Narmadapuram, and Ashoknagar. Authorities have directed all examination centres to strictly follow NEET guidelines and security protocols.

As one of India's most important medical entrance examinations, NEET-UG 2026 remains a high public-interest event. Officials believe the combination of enhanced security measures, improved traffic management, and dedicated transport facilities will help ensure a smooth and transparent examination process for thousands of aspiring medical students.
