A 10th-grade student has been killed in Tilda near Raebaroli after a classmate, angered by a past insult, stabbed him with a knife. The accused student (15) had called Aman Yadav (16) “mota” (fat) during the 10th board exam, sparking a long-standing quarrel that turned fatal on Friday.

The incident occurred in Sasaholi village under Tilda Thana area. In a clash after school, Aman pulled out a vegetable-cutting knife to attack the accused, but the accused snatched it and stabbed Aman in the chest and neck, causing his instant death. The accused student was also injured in the fight and is currently hospitalized in a critical condition.

Both boys lived in Ward 1, Sasaholi, nearly 400 meters apart, and were former friends. They studied at Saraswati Shishu Mandir School in Sasaholi and passed 10th class together. The insult during the board exam created resentment in Aman, which escalated into regular arguments until it turned violent.

After school on Friday (June 19), as both were returning home, Aman called the accused and reopened the old argument. The dispute quickly intensified, and Aman attempted to attack the accused with the knife. The accused managed to grab the knife and stabbed Aman, leading to his death at the spot.

Tilda Nevra Thana In-charge arrived immediately with his team upon receiving the news. Police have secured the area, sent the body for post-mortem, and begun questioning locals. Eyewitness statements are being recorded as the investigation continues.

Photos from the scene show the fight took place outside the school gate. The injured accused has been admitted to the hospital, where his condition remains extremely precarious. Aman’s family is devastated, with relatives broken down in grief.
