Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has entered its third week with a noticeable slowdown at the box office. On Day 15, the film recorded an estimated ₹0.60 crore net collection in India, according to industry-tracking data, taking its India net total to around ₹247.85 crore. Its worldwide gross has reached approximately ₹339.32 crore. 

The film, directed by Geetu Mohandas, also stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara and Tara Sutaria. Despite the scale of the project and Yash's strong fan following, Toxic has struggled to maintain the momentum of its opening phase.

Toxic Day 15 Box Office Collection

According to Sacnilk's latest tracking, Toxic earned around ₹0.60 crore net across 1,322 shows in India on its 15th day. The film's India gross stood at approximately ₹295.82 crore, while the overseas gross was estimated at ₹43.50 crore. Together, these figures put the worldwide gross at ₹339.32 crore. 

The Times of India also reported the ₹339.32 crore worldwide figure and noted that the film's Day 15 performance declined by about 20 per cent compared with the previous day. 

Third-Week Collection Trend Remains Weak

The latest numbers indicate that Toxic is finding it increasingly difficult to sustain theatrical momentum. The film had a much stronger opening, but collections dropped substantially as it moved beyond the initial days.

Reports tracking the film's third-week performance have highlighted its struggle to cross the ₹250 crore mark in India net. Competition from newer releases has also affected its theatrical presence. 

Mirzapur: The Movie Adds to Competition

One of the films putting additional pressure on Toxic is Mirzapur: The Movie. The film opened strongly in India, crossing ₹20 crore gross on its first day according to industry tracker Sacnilk data cited by The Indian Express. 

With audiences having more new theatrical options, Toxic has seen its collections fall sharply during its third week.

Yash's Big-Screen Comeback Faces Box Office Test

Toxic arrived with considerable expectations because of Yash's popularity following the KGF franchise. The film's ambitious scale and ensemble cast had generated substantial pre-release interest.

However, the theatrical response has been mixed, and the box-office trajectory has not matched the level of anticipation surrounding the project. Recent reports have also discussed the criticism faced by the film after its release. 

At this stage, the ₹339.32 crore worldwide gross represents the film's reported cumulative performance, but its slowing daily collections suggest that its remaining theatrical run could be increasingly dependent on sustaining shows and audience interest.

What Next for Toxic?

With Day 15 collections falling to around ₹60 lakh net in India, Toxic will need a significant improvement over the coming days to reverse its current trend.

For now, the film has crossed the ₹300 crore worldwide mark, but the much more closely watched milestone is its final theatrical total and whether it can substantially increase its India net collection before its run winds down.

Vijay's much-awaited political action drama Jana Nayagan has witnessed a major slowdown at the box office after a promising opening weekend. The film, which marks the actor-turned-politician's final outing before shifting to full-time politics, collected an estimated ₹10.15 crore on its fifth day, recording a steep 68% drop from Sunday's earnings. According to early trade estimates by Sacnilk, the film earned around ₹8.40 crore from its Tamil version, ₹1.20 crore from Hindi and ₹0.55 crore from Telugu on Monday. With this, the film's total domestic net collection has reached approximately ₹134 crore across all languages. The sharp decline came after mixed-to-negative reviews from critics and a divided response from audiences, raising questions about the film's long-term performance at the box office.

Jana Nayagan had opened on a solid note with nearly ₹42 crore on its first day but saw collections fall by almost 50% on the second day, earning around ₹21 crore. The film recovered over the weekend with ₹28.90 crore on Saturday and ₹32 crore on Sunday, taking its weekend collections close to ₹60 crore. However, Monday's figures indicate that the film struggled to sustain the momentum after the initial rush. Trade analysts believe the weekday performance will now play a crucial role in deciding whether the film can comfortably cross the ₹150 crore mark in the domestic market. While Vijay's star power ensured a strong opening, the mixed word-of-mouth appears to have affected repeat footfalls.

Directed by H. Vinoth, Jana Nayagan holds special significance as it is Vijay's final film before dedicating himself to politics full-time. The film was originally scheduled for a January release but was postponed after delays in receiving certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). During that period, Vijay's political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), went on to win the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, after which he took oath as the Chief Minister of the state. The film also stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, and Narain in key roles. Ahead of its release, the film grabbed headlines after portions of it were reportedly leaked online. More recently, director H. Vinoth revealed at a success meet in Chennai that six scenes—including comedy, action, and emotional sequences—were removed from the final cut. He added that discussions were underway with the producers about restoring the deleted scenes in theatres if approved. With the first weekday test now behind it, the coming days will determine whether Jana Nayagan can regain momentum or continue facing pressure at the box office.

According to early trade estimates, Welcome to the Jungle earned around ₹6–6.5 crore net on its sixth day. The latest figures have pushed the film’s total domestic net collection to approximately ₹87–88 crore within six days of release.

The film opened to strong occupancy across major urban centres and multiplex circuits, benefiting from the popularity of the Welcome franchise and its extensive ensemble cast. Industry observers note that while weekday drops were expected, the film has managed to maintain a reasonable hold, particularly in family audiences and mass-market centres.

The latest installment brings together a large cast led by Akshay Kumar and relies heavily on slapstick comedy, chaos-driven storytelling and franchise nostalgia. Those elements appear to have helped the film generate substantial footfalls during its opening weekend.

Trade trackers indicate that collections on Wednesday were lower than the previous day, but the decline was not considered alarming. With most theatrical releases experiencing weekday corrections after the initial rush, exhibitors are now closely watching whether the film can regain momentum during its second weekend.

The performance is particularly important for Akshay Kumar, who has witnessed mixed box-office results in recent years. A sustained run for Welcome to the Jungle would provide a significant boost not only to the actor but also to the comedy genre, which has seen fewer major theatrical successes compared to action and franchise-driven spectacles.

Industry estimates suggest the film has already crossed the ₹100 crore mark globally. While official worldwide figures may vary depending on distributors and markets, the overseas response has added to the film’s overall momentum.

Box-office analysts believe the coming weekend will determine the film’s long-term trajectory. A strong jump in collections on Friday, Saturday and Sunday could place it comfortably inside the ₹100 crore domestic net club and strengthen its chances of achieving a successful theatrical run.

At the same time, competition from new releases and audience retention remain key factors. Several upcoming films are expected to arrive in cinemas over the next few weeks, increasing pressure on existing titles to maintain screen count and occupancy levels.

The Welcome franchise enjoys a loyal fan base built over nearly two decades. Earlier installments earned popularity through their comic timing, memorable characters and repeat television viewership. The latest film appears to be benefiting from that legacy, especially among audiences seeking light-hearted entertainment.

For exhibitors, the film’s steady performance has come as a positive sign during a period when the Hindi film industry has been searching for consistent theatrical successes. Strong weekend growth could further improve confidence across the exhibition sector.

As of Day 6, the film remains on a stable path at the box office. Whether Welcome to the Jungle ultimately secures a “hit” verdict will depend on its ability to sustain collections beyond the first week and capitalize on upcoming weekend business.
