The refusal comes despite earlier indications from Siya’s legal counsel suggesting consent. Following the defense team’s strong opposition on Friday, the judge clarified that a polygraph test cannot be legally administered without the explicit consent of the accused. Consequently, the test will not take place, forcing investigators to rely primarily on available technical and circumstantial evidence.

Upon the expiration of their police remand, the Wadgaon Police presented both suspects before First Class Judicial Magistrate A.M. Vibhute on Friday.
