Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav is scheduled to perform the Bhoomi Pujan and foundation stone laying ceremony of the Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Smart Industrial Park at Satgarhi in Bhopal on Sunday, marking another step in the state's push to strengthen industrial infrastructure.

According to an official update shared by the Madhya Pradesh Urban Development Department on social media, the project will also include the development of a world-class Convention and Exhibition Centre spread across 25 acres in the state capital.

The proposed industrial park is aimed at promoting green and smart industrial development while attracting fresh investments to Madhya Pradesh. Officials believe the project will create a modern industrial ecosystem equipped with advanced infrastructure and business-friendly facilities.

The Convention and Exhibition Centre is expected to provide a dedicated platform for hosting trade fairs, industrial expos, business conferences and investment summits, helping position Bhopal as an emerging destination for commerce and industry.

The state government said the Green and Smart Industrial Park is designed to accelerate industrial growth while encouraging environmentally sustainable development. The initiative is also expected to generate employment opportunities and strengthen the state's manufacturing and services sectors.

The foundation stone ceremony forms part of the Madhya Pradesh government's broader strategy to improve industrial infrastructure, attract domestic and global investors, and boost economic activity across the state.

The project has been named after Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, whose contributions to public life are widely commemorated through various national development initiatives.

Further details regarding the project's investment, implementation timeline and industrial facilities are expected to be announced during the foundation stone ceremony.
