According to the agency, only 8,29,510 candidates have so far confirmed or updated their banking information. NTA has warned that eligible candidates who fail to complete the process by July 7, 2026, will not be considered for the refund.

The agency stated that the refund process has already commenced for candidates whose bank details have been successfully verified. Applicants who have not yet completed the verification process have been advised to log in to the official portal immediately and update the required information.

NTA has fixed July 7, 2026, at 11:50 PM as the final deadline for submitting or correcting bank account details. Officials clarified that no requests for modifications or updates will be entertained after the deadline expires.

To complete the process, candidates must log in to the official NEET UG portal, review their existing bank account information and make corrections wherever necessary. Details such as account number, IFSC code and account holder name should be checked carefully before final submission. After updating the information, candidates are advised to download and save the confirmation page for future reference.

The agency emphasized that incorrect or incomplete banking information could delay or prevent the refund from being processed. Therefore, applicants should verify all details thoroughly before submitting them on the portal.

NTA also cautioned candidates against waiting until the last moment, as heavy traffic on the website or technical issues could create difficulties in completing the process before the deadline.

Eligible candidates who successfully update and verify their bank account details within the stipulated period will be included in the next phase of refund disbursement.

The latest advisory comes as part of NTA’s efforts to ensure a smooth and transparent refund process for NEET UG 2026 applicants. Candidates have been encouraged to visit the official website at the earliest and complete the formalities to avoid missing out on their refund eligibility.
