Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh will be on a two-day visit to Rajnandgaon district on July 11 and 12, during which he will participate in a series of public programmes, including a tree plantation drive, a talent felicitation ceremony, foundation stone laying for development works, and a community oath-taking event.

According to the official schedule released by the district administration, Dr Singh will leave the Speaker House in Shankar Nagar, Raipur, at 10:30 am on July 11 and is expected to arrive at the Speaker House in Rajnandgaon at 12 noon.

Tree Plantation Drive

Soon after his arrival, Dr Singh will proceed to Batgaon village in Rajnandgaon development block, where he will participate in a tree plantation and free sapling distribution programme. The event is aimed at promoting environmental conservation and encouraging public participation in afforestation initiatives.

Following the programme, he will return to the Speaker House in Rajnandgaon, where time has been kept reserved for official engagements.

Talent Felicitation Ceremony

In the evening, the Assembly Speaker will attend the Pratibha Samman Samaroh 2026 at the Padma Shri Govindram Nirmalkar Auditorium. The event will honour meritorious students and outstanding achievers from the region before he returns to the Speaker House.

Development Projects on July 12

On July 12, Dr Raman Singh will participate in the foundation stone laying ceremony for development works approved by the Mandi Board at the Mandi premises in Rajnandgaon.

After the programme, he will return to the Speaker House before attending another public function later in the afternoon.

Community Oath Ceremony

At 3 pm, the Assembly Speaker will attend the oath-taking ceremony of the Chhattisgarh Shri Vaishnav Mahasabha at the Padma Shri Govindram Nirmalkar Auditorium.

Following the event, he will return to the Speaker House and later depart for Raipur at around 4:30 pm, concluding his two-day visit to Rajnandgaon.

The visit includes a combination of environmental, developmental, educational and community-oriented programmes across the district.
