According to reports, Priyanka had travelled from another district to appear for the examination. She said traffic congestion and the time taken to locate the examination centre delayed her arrival. By the time she reached the gate, the entry window had already closed and authorities refused to allow her inside, in accordance with the commission's examination guidelines.

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission had issued detailed instructions before the examination, advising candidates to reach their allotted centres well in advance. The commission also released exam city slips and admit cards ahead of the examination to help candidates plan their travel and avoid last-minute delays.

Officials have repeatedly maintained that no candidate is permitted to enter the examination hall after the reporting deadline, regardless of the reason for the delay. The rule is intended to ensure the integrity of the recruitment process and maintain uniformity across all examination centres.

The emotional incident has sparked discussion on social media, with many users expressing sympathy for the candidate while also urging future aspirants to reach examination venues several hours before the reporting time. Others noted that competitive examinations involving lakhs of candidates require strict adherence to schedules to prevent any compromise in security or fairness.
