Bareilly rally
The Jat Regimental Centre (JRC) in Bareilly will host its Agniveer recruitment rally from August 6 to August 13, 2026, conducted under Unit Headquarters (UHQ) quota. Candidates will be considered for Agniveer General Duty, Tradesman, Sports and Clerk category posts during this rally.

Saharanpur rally
Following the Bareilly rally, a separate, larger recruitment drive will be held at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Stadium in Saharanpur, running over a longer window from August 17 to September 10, 2026. Like Bareilly, this rally will also select candidates across General Duty (GD), Tradesman, Clerk and Sports categories.

Who's eligible to attend
Candidates must have already cleared the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) — the computer-based online exam that serves as Stage 1 of Agniveer recruitment — to be eligible for either rally. Only shortlisted candidates who've qualified through the CEE will be called to participate in the physical rally stage.

What the rally actually involves
The recruitment rally is essentially Stage 2 of the process, testing candidates through a Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Physical Measurement Test, followed by document verification and a medical examination. For General Duty and most categories, this includes a 1.6-km run, pull-ups and a ditch jump, along with physical measurement checks for height, chest and weight against Army standards.

Age and other eligibility basics
The standard Agniveer age limit is 17.5 to 21 years (with periodic government relaxations extending the upper limit in some past cycles), and candidates must meet the specific educational qualification required for whichever category — GD, Technical, Clerk or Tradesman — they've applied under.

What candidates should do now
Anyone who's cleared the CEE and expects to be called for either the Bareilly or Saharanpur rally should begin focused physical training immediately if they haven't already — the compressed rally windows leave little room to improve fitness levels once dates are confirmed. Candidates should also keep all original documents, certificates and admit cards ready well in advance, and regularly check the official Join Indian Army website (joinindianarmy.nic.in) for their specific call letter and reporting instructions, since exact reporting dates within the rally window vary by district and category.

With two major rallies now confirmed back-to-back for western UP, this cycle offers a substantial opportunity for eligible candidates across the region's districts — though as with every Agniveer rally, the physical test stage remains the most demanding and preparation-sensitive part of the entire process.

The result, declared on July 12, covers candidates who appeared for the CEE between June 1 and 16, and has been published in the form of ARO-wise (Army Recruiting Office) and category-wise merit list PDFs on the official Join Indian Army website. The result isn't available as an individual scorecard or through a login-based system — candidates need to download the PDF specific to their Army Recruiting Office and search for their roll number or name within it.

The result covers multiple recruitment categories, including Agniveer General Duty, Technical, Clerk/Storekeeper, Tradesman, and Women Military Police, among others, with recruitment under this cycle spanning more than 25,000 posts overall. Shortlisted candidates now move to the recruitment rally stage, which includes a Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement Test, document verification and adaptability assessment, followed by a medical examination.

The rally schedules are being released zone-wise, so candidates need to check the specific dates and venue for their own Army Recruiting Office rather than assume a common timeline nationally. One rally has already been confirmed: the Ambala zone's Rohtak recruitment rally is scheduled to run from July 20 to July 27 at the Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex, with admit cards for that rally becoming available from July 14.

For the Physical Fitness Test, candidates will be assessed on a 1.6-km run, pull-ups and a ditch jump, alongside the physical measurement checks for height, chest and weight against Army standards. Performance in both the CEE and the PFT feeds into the final merit list, from which the Army issues dispatch orders under the Agnipath scheme. Selected candidates begin a four-year training and service tenure at designated centres.
