House Adjourned Amid Uproar

Proceedings in the Lok Sabha were repeatedly interrupted as Opposition members raised slogans over the alleged examination irregularities.

Despite attempts by the Chair to restore order, the protests continued, forcing the House to be adjourned until July 27 without transacting scheduled business.

Government Offers Discussion

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said the government was willing to discuss the NEET paper leak in Parliament.

He urged Opposition members to cooperate in ensuring the smooth functioning of the House and appealed to Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi to ask MPs to maintain decorum during the proceedings.

The government maintained that it was open to addressing concerns through a structured parliamentary debate.

Opposition Presses Demands

Opposition parties continued to demand the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, holding him accountable over the alleged paper leak controversy.

Members also insisted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi make a statement in Parliament regarding the issue instead of addressing it outside the House.

The protests continued both inside and outside Parliament despite heavy rainfall in the national capital.

Rahul Gandhi's Allegation

Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi alleged that he was not allowed to speak during the proceedings.

He claimed that his microphone had been switched off, preventing him from presenting the Opposition's position in the House.

The allegation added to the political confrontation between the ruling alliance and Opposition parties.

Kharge Seeks PM's Statement

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said the Opposition expected the Prime Minister to make an official statement on the floor of Parliament.

According to Kharge, the Opposition would consider the government's response only after the Prime Minister addressed the House directly on the issue.

Protests Continue Outside

Several Opposition leaders, including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and Akhilesh Yadav, participated in demonstrations outside Parliament.

The protest also witnessed participation from MPs belonging to various Opposition parties, who reiterated demands for accountability and action over the alleged examination irregularities.
