                <title>Applications Open for 300 Indian Students to Join Canada Research Internships</title>
                                    <description><![CDATA[<p>The AICTE-Mitacs programme offers 12-week research placements at participating Canadian universities</p>]]></description>
                
                                    <content:encoded><![CDATA[<a href="https://english.dainikjagranmpcg.com/education/applications-open-for-300-indian-students-to-join-canada-research/article-25368"><img src="https://english.dainikjagranmpcg.com/media/400/2026-08/aicte-mitacs.jpg" alt=""></a><br /><p class="PDq2pG_selectionAnchorContainer">Applications have opened for the AICTE-Mitacs Globalink Research Internship 2027, under which up to 300 Indian undergraduate students can participate in research projects at Canadian universities.</p>
<p>The application deadline is September 16, 2026, at 1 pm Pacific Time. The internships will be conducted in person for 12 consecutive weeks between May and October 2027.</p>
<p>Students can work in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physical and life sciences, business, social sciences, arts and humanities.</p>
<h3>Funding and Eligibility</h3>
<p>The programme’s funding package can contribute towards:</p>
<ul>
<li>Return airfare to Canada</li>
<li>Local transportation</li>
<li>Housing and food</li>
<li>Student-enrolment expenses</li>
<li>Emergency health insurance</li>
<li>Professional-development programmes</li>
</ul>
<p>Funding amounts can vary according to the student’s country and host institution.</p>
<p>Applicants must be at least 18 years old and enrolled full-time in an eligible undergraduate or integrated undergraduate-master’s programme. They must also satisfy the India-specific conditions and study at an institution included in the official eligible-institutions list.</p>
<p>Candidates will need academic transcripts, a curriculum vitae and a reference letter from a professor. Selection will consider academic performance, research interests, the statement of interest and compatibility with available projects.</p>
<p>Application does not guarantee selection.
