In a major judicial development, the Supreme Court of Pakistan has ordered the immediate transfer of former Prime Minister Imran Khan from Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail to Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad for comprehensive medical evaluation and care. The decision comes following heightened concerns regarding the former World Cup-winning cricket captain's declining health and vision deterioration while in custody.

Overruling objections raised by the federal government, the apex court mandated that Khan be moved to the medical facility within 48 hours, where he will remain admitted under care until September 16.
