Former Rajya Sabha member and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) national general secretary V. Vijayasai Reddy on Wednesday, August 19, announced that he would launch a new political party in Andhra Pradesh, ending months of speculation over his political future.

Reddy said he would unveil the roadmap for the new party in Vijayawada later this month. His announcement comes around 19 months after he resigned from the Rajya Sabha and stepped away from active politics.

Vijayasai Reddy had resigned from the Rajya Sabha in January 2025. At the time, he had said that he would not join any political party and indicated that he intended to move away from electoral politics.
