In one clip, a technician is seen walking with a test tube in her hand, while another video shows the women sitting on laboratory chairs and making reels. The videos were reportedly recorded amid blood samples and laboratory equipment. This raised questions about whether the employees were performing their assigned duties when the videos were made and whether the activity affected laboratory operations. After the videos came to light, Dr Minj sought an explanation from the lab in-charge, including how recording was allowed during duty hours and what responsibilities the staff were carrying out at the time.Following the response and inquiry, the lab in-charge reportedly recommended action against the employees to HLL Lifecare. The company subsequently removed all three technicians from service. Dr Minj also confirmed that HLL had taken the dismissal action. The administration is also examining whether the laboratory's testing work was affected while the reels were being recorded. Atal Arogya Lab is an important part of the district hospital's diagnostic services, providing a range of tests to patients. Earlier reports said the lab offers around 134 types of tests free of cost. The incident comes shortly after a separate controversy involving an HIV test report from the same laboratory. A patient's initial report was reportedly positive, while a subsequent test came back negative, following which the hospital sought information from the lab and directed checks of the testing machines and their calibration. The latest action has put the focus on discipline and professional conduct inside diagnostic facilities, where staff handle patient samples and sensitive medical information.
