In eastern and northeastern India, rainfall activity is expected to continue over parts of Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim and the northeastern states. The IMD has also warned of heavy rainfall in some areas, including Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. 

Madhya Pradesh Under Rain Watch

Madhya Pradesh remains among the regions receiving significant attention in the latest forecast. West Madhya Pradesh is expected to see fairly widespread to widespread rainfall from September 3 onward, while East Madhya Pradesh is also forecast to receive widespread rainfall.

The IMD's earlier extended forecast had indicated the possibility of isolated very heavy rainfall over West Madhya Pradesh during September 3–5.

An IMD warning for September 3 indicates squally winds of 45–55 kmph, gusting to 65 kmph, along and off the Somalia coast, parts of the westcentral and southwest Arabian Sea and a few areas of the Gulf of Mannar.
