Guyana Amazon Warriors continued their impressive run in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 with an eight-wicket victory over Jamaica Kingsmen at Providence Stadium on Friday.

Chasing 160, the Warriors reached 160/2 in 17.2 overs, completing the chase with 16 balls remaining. The result strengthened their position among the leading teams in the tournament.

Jamaica Kingsmen were restricted to 159/7 in their 20 overs after being sent in to bat. The Warriors' bowling attack kept the Kingsmen from producing a bigger total, with Dwaine Pretorius and Khary Pierre taking two wickets each.

For the Kingsmen, Maaz Sadaqat scored 35 off 34 balls, while the team struggled to maintain momentum through the middle overs. Captain Rovman Powell was dismissed for a duck, with Mohammad Nabi accounting for the key wicket.

The Warriors' chase was controlled, with Shai Hopeand Shimron Hetmyer providing the finishing push. Hope scored 39 off 35 balls, while Hetmyer struck an unbeaten 30 off 17 deliveries as Guyana completed the chase comfortably.

The victory also continued Guyana's strong record against the Kingsmen. The Warriors had already beaten Jamaica by six wickets earlier in the 2026 CPL, and now secured another win in their latest meeting.

The result keeps Guyana Amazon Warriors firmly in the CPL 2026 playoff race, while Jamaica Kingsmen will look to recover from another defeat against one of the tournament's strongest sides.
