Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay is set to respond in the state Assembly on Monday, September 7, to allegations levelled by the opposition DMK against his government, bringing the political confrontation between the two sides into sharper focus.

The scheduled response follows a heated Assembly debate in which DMK Leader of Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalinquestioned the TVK-led government's handling of law and order and other governance issues.
