India and Bangladesh have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening defence cooperation, with the two neighbours discussing joint military training, professional exchanges, disaster management and maritime security.

The discussions took place during a meeting between Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi and Bangladesh Prime Minister's Defence Adviser Brigadier General (Retd) Dr AKM Shamsul Islam at the Armed Forces Division in Dhaka Cantonment on Wednesday.
