A six-member Forest Department team came under attack from sand mafia operatives during a raid on illegal sand transportation near Ranpur village in Morena district on Wednesday morning. Forest guard Harkesh Gurjar was run over by a speeding tractor-trolley and died on the spot. Police have registered a murder case and launched a search for the main accused, driver Vinod Kori.

Team Raids Illegal Sand Transport

The team, led by Game Range Officer Veer Kumar Tirki, left for the spot around 5:30 am in a government vehicle after receiving specific information about illegal sand movement. The personnel included forest guards Sandeep, Shatrughan, Vinod and Harkesh Gurjar. They reached the Ranpur village crossroads in the Dimani police station area to intercept a sand-laden tractor-trolley.

Driver Attempts to Flee

According to the complaint filed by Veer Kumar Tirki at Dimani police station, driver Vinod Kori tried to escape with the vehicle when the team attempted to stop the operation. As Harkesh Gurjar stepped forward to block the tractor-trolley, Kori allegedly ran him over and sped away from the scene.

Guard Run Over on Spot

Harkesh Gurjar suffered fatal injuries and was declared dead at the spot. The incident occurred around 6 am. The tractor-trolley, reportedly jointly owned by Sonu Chauhan and Pawan Tomar, was carrying illegally mined sand at the time of the confrontation.

CCTV Footage Surfaces

CCTV cameras at a nearby petrol pump captured the accused Vinod Kori arriving with the same tractor-trolley minutes after the incident. Footage shows the vehicle narrowly escaping an overturn while entering the premises. Police are treating the visuals as crucial evidence in the case.

Officials Reach Crime Scene

Morena Collector Lokesh Kumar Jangid, Superintendent of Police Sameer Saurabh and Divisional Forest Officer Harishchandra Baghel rushed to the spot and spoke to eyewitnesses. The senior officials inspected the area and reviewed initial findings from the Forest Department team.

Political Leaders Intervene

Banku alias Captain Kansana, son of Agriculture Minister Edal Singh Kansana, reached the post-mortem house and demanded that a named FIR be registered against the accused. He alleged that police were pressuring the victim’s family over the phone to accept a general FIR. The Leader of Opposition also criticised the state government, claiming law and order had “completely collapsed”.

Police Assure Swift Action

Collector Jangid said he has directed police to raid possible hideouts of the accused and assured that the culprit would be arrested at the earliest. Additional SP Surendra Pal Singh confirmed that a murder case has been registered at Dimani police station and additional forces have been deployed in the area. The family of forest guard Harkesh Gurjar is in a state of shock following the killing.

The forest guard killed in Morena has once again highlighted the growing risks faced by frontline forest personnel while tackling illegal sand mining in the region. A manhunt is underway and further arrests are expected soon.

BJP Leader's 'Pants Below Navel' Remark on Singer Sonal Pradhan Sparks Outrage in Morena

BJP Vice President Jinesh Jain's vulgar 'pants below navel' comment on Sonal Pradhan at Morena fair goes viral.

A shocking statement by BJP district vice president Jinesh Jain about Bollywood singer Sonal Pradhan's attire has ignited a firestorm. During the Jayeshwar Mahadev fair in Ambah, Jain crudely remarked on her "pants 3 inches below the navel," telling the crowd to "enjoy it." The viral video, surfaced today, exposes the BJP leader's pants below navel comment and raises serious questions on women's respect in public spaces.

The Controversial Speech at Jayeshwar Fair

The incident unfolded Monday evening at the fair organized by Nagar Palika Ambah. Sonal Pradhan dazzled with hits like Kamli-Kamli, Laila Main Laila, Dilbar, and Ghoomar. But Jain's speech from the stage stole the spotlight for all wrong reasons.

In the clip, Jain boasted: "That girl performing had pants 3 inches below the navel. I told the public—you're enjoying it! What's wrong? You watch it in movies." He defended it, saying critics abuse PM Modi yet object to his words making "youngsters clap." Jain even claimed, "No one enters Nagar Palika Ambah without my permission—it's reality, not arrogance." An aide tried stopping the recording, but it spread like wildfire.

This BJP leader pants below navel remark comes amid Madhya Pradesh's rising focus on women's safety and dignity, especially post recent political rows. Why now? With elections looming, such slips highlight the gap between leaders' words and actions on gender respect.

Political Backlash and Responses

Congress MLA Dinesh Gurjar slammed it hard: "BJP's senior leader Jinesh Jain's statement is deeply inappropriate. They misuse language on women, treating them cheaply." He accused BJP of hypocrisy, referencing past "indecent" remarks.

BJP district president Kamlesh Kushwah responded cautiously: "I haven't heard the full statement, but party workers must stay within limits. Respecting women is everyone's duty. If undignified, it'll be discussed internally."

Experts like journalist Neha Sharma note: "This isn't isolated. Public figures must model decency, especially at cultural events like Jayeshwar fair Ambah. It erodes trust in politics."

Why This Matters for MP Politics

In Morena—a BJP stronghold—this Sonal Pradhan Morena controversy tests the party's women empowerment narrative. Actionable takeaway: Voters demand accountability; demand public apologies and training on respectful speech. Will BJP act swiftly?

In a heartbreaking incident that has sent shockwaves through the education community, a Class 10 student passed away on Tuesday after collapsing during her MP Board exam in Morena. The student, identified as Varsha Kushwah, was appearing for her mathematics paper when the tragic event occurred at the Pandit Nehru Part Two College examination centre.

While the loss has left the family in a state of disbelief, preliminary medical observations suggest a worrying link between chronic health issues and the sudden fatal episode.

Incident at the Examination Centre

Varsha, a student of St. Paul School, had arrived at the Banmour-based examination centre appearing healthy and composed. According to her uncle, Avdhesh Kushwah, her father had dropped her off in the morning, and there were no visible signs of distress.

However, mid-way through the paper, Varsha fainted and collapsed at her desk. School staff and invigilators rushed to her aid, attempting to revive her by rubbing her hands and feet before immediately alerting her family. Despite being rushed to a local hospital and subsequently to Jayarogya Hospital in Gwalior, doctors declared her brought dead.

Medical Concerns: Malnutrition and Anemia

While the official post-mortem report is still awaited, Morena Collector Lokesh Kumar Jangid has provided initial insights into the MP Board exam student death.

Speaking to the press, Jangid noted that preliminary discussions with doctors in Gwalior pointed toward severe underlying health conditions.

Severe Malnutrition: The student was reportedly struggling with significant nutritional deficiencies.

Acute Anemia: A low red blood cell count may have put undue strain on her cardiovascular system.

Cardiac Arrest: It is suspected that the combination of physical weakness and the high-pressure environment of a board exam may have triggered a Morena student heart attack.

"The student's death is extremely unfortunate," Collector Jangid stated. "We are waiting for the final post-mortem report to confirm the exact cause of death."

A Growing Concern for Student Health

This tragic incident highlights a critical intersection between student health and academic pressure in the Class 10 board exam news cycle. Medical experts suggest that while "exam stress" is often blamed for such collapses, underlying conditions like MP student malnutrition can make young bodies far more vulnerable to sudden cardiac events.

Key Takeaways for Parents and Schools:

Health Screenings: Regular check-ups for anemia and nutritional deficiencies are vital for adolescent students.

Stress Management: Creating a supportive environment during board exams can help mitigate physical symptoms of anxiety.

Emergency Readiness: The quick response of the Banmour school staff shows the importance of having medical protocols in place at exam centres.

The local police have initiated an investigation, and the community remains in mourning for Varsha. As the MP Board examinations continue, this tragedy serves as a somber reminder that a student's physical well-being is just as important as their academic preparation.
