A shocking road accident in Satna has once again highlighted the dangers of reckless driving on city roads. On Wednesday afternoon, a speeding and uncontrolled tractor slammed into a motorbike rider, dragging the elderly man along before its wheels ran over him. The entire incident was captured on CCTV, showing the victim helplessly waving for help while trapped.

Locals who gathered at the spot pulled the injured man out from under the tractor. He was immediately rushed to Birla Hospital, where doctors say he is now out of danger despite sustaining serious injuries.

Uncontrolled Vehicle from Front

The accident occurred in the Sindhi Camp area under Kolgaon police station limits. The victim, identified as 61-year-old Rajkaran Kewat, a resident of Gram Mand Mohanna, was riding his Pulsar motorcycle (MP19 MF 1463) when the tractor came hurtling towards him from the opposite direction.

Eyewitnesses said Kewat tried to move his bike to the side upon seeing the approaching tractor lose control. However, the vehicle hit him directly, dragging both the rider and the bike towards a nearby shop's stairs. The tractor's front and rear wheels passed over his chest area before the vehicle finally stopped after colliding with the steps.

Kewat remained pinned between the rear tyre and the concrete stairs for several moments. In the disturbing video, he can be seen desperately gesturing with his hands, appealing to onlookers for immediate help. The tractor driver, instead of stopping to assist, abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene.

Injuries and Medical Update

Doctors at Birla Hospital confirmed that Rajkaran Kewat suffered multiple rib fractures. He was admitted to the post-operative ward for observation and treatment. Despite the severity of the impact, his condition has been described as stable and out of danger.

Hospital sources said prompt rescue by locals and quick medical attention helped prevent a worse outcome. Family members reached the hospital soon after the incident and are attending to him.

Police Launch Search for Driver

Kolgaon TI Sudip Soni confirmed that a case has been registered and teams are actively searching for the tractor driver. "We are looking for the accused tractor operator. Further legal action will be taken once the medico-legal case (MLC) report is available," the officer stated.

Police are examining the CCTV footage closely to identify the vehicle and its driver. The tractor has been seized from the spot for forensic examination. Authorities have appealed to anyone with additional information about the driver to come forward.

Satna Murder Case: History-Sheeter Shoots Farmer Dead With 5 Bullets, Son Seriously Injured in Revenge Attack

A shocking Satna murder case has surfaced from Madhya Pradesh where a history-sheeter criminal allegedly shot a farmer dead and injured his son in a revenge attack. The brutal incident took place in Barapathar village under Nagod police station area on Wednesday evening, creating panic among local residents.

According to police officials, the accused fired five bullets at the farmer, leading to his death due to excessive blood loss. Shortly after the killing, the attackers also opened fire on the victim’s son, leaving him seriously injured.

Farmer Shot Dead in Barapathar Village

The victim has been identified as Abhay alias Bablu Yadav (50), a farmer from Barapathar village in Satna district. Police said the accused, history-sheeter Chandan Yadav, along with several accomplices, carried out the attack around 9:30 PM.

Investigators revealed that the accused fired indiscriminately at Abhay while he was walking on the terrace of his house.

Post-incident details revealed the severity of the attack:

 Two bullets hit the farmer’s back

 One bullet struck his stomach

 One bullet hit his neck

 One bullet struck his ribs

Due to the critical injuries and massive blood loss, Abhay Yadav died on the spot before receiving medical assistance.

 Son Targeted in Second Attack

After killing the farmer, the attackers reportedly went to the grocery store run by his 25-year-old son, Rana Yadav, located about a kilometer from the village.

The accused fired multiple rounds at him as well. Rana attempted to escape by running away from the shop but two bullets struck his right leg, leaving him seriously injured.

Family members rushed him to Civil Hospital Nagod, from where he was later referred to Satna District Hospital. He is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Satna.

Police sources confirmed that after the shooting, the accused allegedly called the victim’s younger son and threatened to kill the entire family.

 Revenge Motive Behind the Crime

According to preliminary police investigation, the Satna murder case appears to be the result of a revenge dispute.

Officials said that earlier on Wednesday evening, Sharad Yadav, the younger brother of the accused, was allegedly abusing villagers. During the argument, Abhay Yadav scolded him and slapped him twice.

Enraged by the humiliation, Sharad reportedly contacted his brother Chandan Yadav and asked him to take revenge. Later that night, Chandan arrived in the village with around five accomplices and carried out the deadly shooting.

 Accused History-Sheeter Absconding

Police confirmed that Chandan Yadav is a history-sheeter with multiple criminal cases already registered against him.

Investigators also revealed that:

 He was released from jail on one-month parole in December 2025

 He failed to surrender after the parole period ended

 Police had already been searching for him before the murder incident

Following the shooting, the accused and his associates fled the scene.

 Police Launch Manhunt

After receiving information, Nagod police station in-charge Ashok Pandey reached the spot with a team. The farmer’s body was sent for post-mortem, and multiple police teams have now been deployed to arrest the accused.

Authorities have also increased police presence in Barapathar village to prevent further tensions.

Police sources added that the deceased Abhay Yadav also had several criminal cases registered against him, including two murder cases, and had previously been jailed.

The Satna murder case has once again raised concerns over the activities of history-sheeter criminals and parole monitoring. Police officials say they are conducting raids in nearby areas to trace the accused and his accomplices.

Authorities have assured that the culprits will be arrested soon as the investigation continues.
