The ashes of former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar were immersed at the VIP Ghat in Haridwar on Thursday, marking the beginning of a series of final rites planned across prominent pilgrimage centres in the country. The immersion was conducted according to Vedic traditions by Nationalist Youth Congress national president Dheeraj Sharma, who brought the ash urn to Haridwar.
