At least 150 residents of Bhagirathpura in Indore remain hospitalised after consuming contaminated drinking water, as a severe gastrointestinal infection spread rapidly through the locality, damaging kidney and liver functions in critical cases. Health officials said a total of 398 people have sought treatment so far, with 256 discharged and 142 still admitted across more than 20 government and private hospitals, including 11 patients in intensive care.
