The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet on Tuesday approved the long-pending fourth promotion pay scale for primary and middle school teachers, a move set to benefit around 1.22 lakh assistant teachers (LDT) and upper division teachers (UDT) across the state. The decision, taken ahead of Makar Sankranti, will result in a monthly salary increase ranging from ₹3,000 to ₹6,000, along with substantial arrears.
