Divine Decoration of Baba Mahakal on Tuesday: Devotees Witnessed His Spiritual Form

On the Navami tithi of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Vaishakh, an extraordinary blend of devotion and faith was witnessed at the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple on Tuesday morning.

As the temple doors opened at 4 AM, the emotions of the Shiva devotees surged. A special worship was conducted, followed by the grand decoration of Baba Mahakal.

Abhishek with Panchamrit, Reflecting Devotion in the Decoration

The first step of the ritual was an Abhishek (ritual bath) with water, followed by Panchamrita mixture of milk, curd, ghee, honey, and fruit juices—being offered to Lord Mahakal as per traditional procedures. The deity was adorned with Chandran (moon) and Trishul on his head and was further decorated with bhang, chandan, a rudraksha mala, and splendid jewelry.

Bhasma (ash) was also offered to Mahakal, followed by the placing of a silver Sheshnag crown, mundmalas, and divine flower garlands. The ritual was completed with the offering of fruits and sweets.

The atmosphere resonated with the chants of "Jai Shri Mahakal", infusing the surroundings with a divine and spiritual aura.
