In our country, tricks that have been in practice for generations to protect against evil eye are still seen in everyday life.

It is believed that someone's jealousy or negative energy can affect a person, child, house or business. In such a situation, people adopt these easy and traditional remedies.

Hanging lemon-chilli: It is believed that hanging seven green chillies and a lemon on the main door of the shop or house wards off the evil eye.

Tying a black thread: Tying a black thread on the hands, feet or waist of children or adults keeps the evil eye away.

Applying kajal in the eyes: Applying a little kajal on the eyes or forehead of small children prevents the evil eye from affecting their beauty. (Traditional Remedies for Evil Eye)

Removing the evil eye with red chilli: Rotating a red chilli over someone and burning it in fire eliminates negative energy.

Use of black tilak: The practice of applying black tilak on the ears, cheeks or chin of children is still prevalent, especially in villages.

Rotate a coconut and float it: Rotate a coconut over a person or object and float it in running water to ward off the evil eye.

Mustard and salt remedy: Burning mustard seeds and salt together reduces the effect of evil eye.

Keeping the broom upside down: Keeping the broom upside down in any corner of the house prevents negative energies from entering.
