Rakshabandhan 2025: No Bhadra or Rahukal This Year

Rakshabandhan 2025 brings a rare coincidence — the festival will be free from Bhadra and Rahukal, making it ideal for Rakhi rituals. Know the exact auspicious time to tie Rakhi and strengthen the sibling bond with full devotion.

The festival of Rakshabandhan will be celebrated this year on Saturday, 9 August 2025. According to the Panchangs, this time on the day of Rakshabandhan, the auspicious time is being received after the end of Bhadrakal, which is a favorable time to tie Rakhi.

According to astrological calculations, the auspicious time to tie Rakhi will be from 5:47 am to 1:24 pm. During this time, there will be no obstruction of any kind of Bhadrakal or Rahukal. For this reason, this period is considered to be most suitable for tying Rakhi, Raksha-Sanskar and worship.

It is also worth noting that in some Panchangs, the Muhurta from 1:41 pm to 2:54 pm has also been given, but most scholars and pundits have described the time from morning to afternoon as the best.

This time is also safe from the point of view of Rahukaal. On August 9, Rahukaal will be from 9:26 am to 11:03 am, but since the entire auspicious time is long and there is enough time before and after Rahukaal, sisters can easily tie Rakhi during this time.
