Agni Panchak begins in 5 days, a period often deemed inauspicious in Vedic astrology. Discover its significance, why certain activities are avoided, and the precautions to follow during this time.

At the end of this month, the phase of Panchak is going to come, which is called 'Agni Panchak'. It will start from 7:35 am on Tuesday, 20 May 2025 and it will last till 1:48 pm on May 24. According to the Panchang, when Panchak starts on Tuesday and the Moon is in Dhanishta, Shatabhisha or Purvabhadrapada constellations, then this period is called Agni Panchak. Agni Panchak is considered particularly inauspicious in astrology.

During this time, there is a possibility of increase in fire-related incidents, such as:

Kitchen gas leakage
Short circuit
Malfunction in electronic equipment
Incidents like fire

Along with this, conditions like mental stress, anger, and heat in the body can also increase at this time. Therefore, restraint and vigilance are considered the biggest solution during Agni Panchak. From a religious point of view, this period is also considered suitable for introspection and spiritual awareness.

Avoid installing new equipment in the kitchen.
Do not perform yagya, havan or big fire rituals.

Take special care in all work related to fire and electricity.
Recite Hanuman Chalisa, Durga Saptashati or Mahamrityunjaya Mantra at home.
Pray to Agnidev for the safety of the family.
