1. Do not touch Tulsi at night: According to religious belief, Tulsi Mata rests after sunset. Touching her at this time is forbidden and it is considered inauspicious.

2. Do not pluck Tulsi leaves on Ekadashi Tithi: Ekadashi is considered to be the day of Lord Vishnu and Tulsi is his favorite. Tulsi Mata is fasting on this day, so touching or plucking her is forbidden.

3. Do not touch Tulsi without taking bath: According to the rules of purity, it is considered inappropriate to touch Tulsi Mata unless the body and mind are pure.

4. Women should stay away from Tulsi during menstruation: According to traditional beliefs, women are prohibited from going near or touching Tulsi during this period.

5. Do not pluck Tulsi leaves during Shraddha Paksha: Tulsi leaves are not used for sacred works during Pitru Paksha, hence touching Tulsi is considered taboo these days.
