PhD holders and guest assistant professors marched to Lok Bhavan in Patna after 19 days of hunger strike, demanding UGC rules and changes in faculty appointment norms.  

Begusarai witnessed a major education-focused announcement on Sunday as Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary launched 551 Model Schools across the state and declared that a university named after Rashtrakavi Ramdhari Singh Dinkar would be established in the district.

In a major administrative reform aimed at digitising government services, the Bihar government has made online leave applications compulsory for all state government employees. From July 1, government officials and staff can no longer apply for leave through paper-based applications, as the entire process has now been shifted to a digital platform.
