The meeting took place on Wednesday at Rashtrapati Bhavan, where Aamir hosted a special screening of his recently released film Taare Zameen Par. The entire cast of the film was present during the event.

The official X (formerly Twitter) handle of the President of India shared this information, along with photos from the screening. The post featured a picture of Aamir Khan with President Droupadi Murmu and read: “Popular filmmaker and actor Shri Aamir Khan met President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan.”

In another post, it was mentioned that President Droupadi Murmu watched Taare Zameen Par at the Cultural Centre of Rashtrapati Bhavan. The film features individuals genuinely affected by neurodivergent conditions and delivers a message of diversity, equality, and inclusion.

The film's producer and lead actor, Aamir Khan, along with the rest of the team, were also present during the screening.

The film Taare Zameen Par, produced under Aamir Khan’s production house, was released on June 20.

Along with Aamir Khan and Genelia D’Souza, the film also features children actually living with Down syndrome in key roles.

The story revolves around a basketball coach who takes on the role of mentoring these children.
