Actor Govinda Hospitalised After Sudden Health Scare; Condition Stable, Say Doctors

Veteran Bollywood actor and former MP Govinda was rushed to Criticare Hospital in Juhu, Mumbai, on Tuesday night after he suddenly lost consciousness at his home. The 61-year-old actor reportedly fainted around 8 p.m., following which his family immediately took him to the hospital.

Confirming the news, Lalit Bindal, the actor’s close associate and legal advisor, said Govinda’s condition is now stable, and he remains under constant medical supervision.

Sudden disorientation led to collapse

According to sources, Govinda experienced sudden disorientation, causing him to lose balance and faint. Doctors at Criticare provided emergency treatment and conducted several medical tests, the results of which are awaited. He will remain under observation for a few days as a precautionary measure.

Hospital officials stated that the actor’s vital parameters are normal, and his blood pressure and neurological condition are being closely monitored. Doctors have advised complete rest, and hospital authorities have restricted outside visitors for the time being.

Fans pray for recovery

Govinda’s close friends have urged the media and fans to avoid spreading rumours and to respect his privacy. Meanwhile, his well-wishers have flooded social media with messages praying for his speedy recovery.

This is not the first time Govinda has faced a health emergency. About a year ago, he made headlines after accidentally shooting himself in the knee while cleaning his licensed pistol. He was hospitalized at the time and later discharged after a successful surgery.

In recent years, Govinda has largely stayed away from films but remains active on television and at public events. Family sources said he had been feeling fatigued and overworked lately.

Doctors have confirmed that his condition is fully under control, and he is expected to be discharged in a few days.
