According to reports, Priyanshu and his friend Dhruv Lal Bahadur Sahu were drinking in Om Sai Nagar when a disagreement escalated into a violent altercation. During the fight, Dhruv allegedly tied Priyanshu with wires, slit his throat with a sharp weapon, and crushed his face with a stone.

Local residents discovered Priyanshu in a semi-naked state and alerted the police. The authorities sent the body for post-mortem and arrested Dhruv in connection with the crime.

Priyanshu, 21, had gained recognition for his role in Jhund.

Police Records of Deceased and Accused
Police sources revealed that Priyanshu had 15 previous cases registered against him, including theft, housebreaking, and assault. The accused Dhruv had five cases registered against him. The police are investigating the incident to determine the motive behind the murder.

Earlier, on July 4, 2021, Dhruv was arrested for allegedly stealing mobile phones from railway passengers. In November 2022, Priyanshu was also arrested by Nagpur police on theft charges.
