Bhojpuri Star Akshara Singh Throws Weight Behind Tej Pratap Yadav in Bihar Poll Drama

Actress rallies for expelled RJD scion's independent bid amid family feud, echoes support for Pawan Singh's wife.

In a high-stakes twist to Bihar's assembly elections, Bhojpuri sensation Akshara Singh is set to hit the campaign trail today for Tej Pratap Yadav, the estranged eldest son of RJD patriarch Lalu Prasad Yadav. The Mahua constituency, a Yadav-Muslim stronghold, has turned into a family battleground as Tej Pratap contests under his fledgling Jan Shakti Janata Dal (JJD), pitted against RJD's Mukesh Raushan, a Tejashwi Yadav loyalist.

The rally in Mahua, Vaishali district, kicks off this afternoon, with fellow Bhojpuri artist Pakhi Hegde joining Akshara. It's a bold show of solidarity for Tej Pratap, expelled from RJD and the family fold in May over "irresponsible behavior," as Lalu posted on X. "Disregarding moral values weakens our social justice fight," Lalu had declared, barring him for six years.

Akshara, known for hits like Raja Ji, didn't mince words on her support. Speaking to reporters, she drew parallels to her backing of singer Pawan Singh's wife, Jyoti, running independently from Karakat. "As a woman, I wish Jyoti all the best—she's forging her path on her own strength," Akshara said. "We can't judge someone's struggles; that's not our call."

Tej Pratap fired back at the family rift during a Monday rally in Raghopur, another Lalu bastion. "The green RJD flag is fake—held by Jaichands. JJD is Lalu ji's true party," he proclaimed, dubbing local JJD hopeful Prem Kumar the "real Arjun," not brother Tejashwi. The counter-move followed Tejashwi's Mahua roadshow, underscoring the brothers' escalating feud.

Mahua's voter math favors RJD historically: 40% Muslim-Yadav, 30% OBCs, and 10-15% Dalits. Since 1995, it's been a party fortress, but Tej Pratap's rebel run could splinter the base. As polls heat up, Akshara's star power injects glamour into the grit, spotlighting women breaking barriers in Bihar's cutthroat politics.

This family showdown grips Latest India News circles, blending personal vendettas with caste arithmetic. With Tejashwi's two-term Raghopur grip at risk, observers eye ripple effects on national alliances ahead of 2029. For now, Akshara's mic-drop moment underscores a trending news story: resilience amid rivalry.
